Highly-insulated aluminium window to passive house standard with renewable raw materials

Buildings consume about 40 % of the energy generated worldwide. The construction and utilisation of buildings are also the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions. The building sector therefore offers twice as much potential for cutting CO2 emissions as the transport sector. Governments are responding to this with stricter regulations for the building sector, whilst clients and architects are demanding new, ecologically sound products.

With the Schüco AWS 90.SI+ Green window, Schüco is introducing a new generation of windows which responds to these demands by using pioneering, ecological materials. This allows Schüco to become the first provider to equip an approved aluminium window which is suitable for series production with significant proportions of renewable raw materials in the plastics, and to partly substitute raw fossil materials.
